Samsung Electronics has unveiled the its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 along with Samsung Galaxy Gear 2. The new Galaxy Gear 2 runs on Tizen operating system which can monitor the wearer's heart rate, a function used in popular health and fitness apps or individual programs.
The much awaited, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with the finger print scanner on the home screen. Using this, device can be unlocked and provide security credentials in a swipe.
Samsung Galaxy S5 sports 5.1 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 1080x1920 pixel resolution and 432 ppi pixel density. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. The Galaxy S5 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with new touchwiz user interface. For internal storage, the smartphone comes with 16/32GB internal storage options and support for expandable storage capacity upto 128GB.
Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered by Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Chipset and 2GB of RAM. For taking snaps and recording videos, it has 16MP primary rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. The primary camera can record videos at 2160p video at 30fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. The camera has Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, HDR features.There is also 2 MP front facing camera.
