ASUS VivoBook Pro N705UD-EH76: A great 17 inch laptop
ASUS is one of the best laptop brands, especially when it comes to thin laptops. I am a big fan of the ASUS ZenBook series, as they are thin, beautiful and extremely fast. Today we have an ASUS VivoBook Pro, and, even if we have reviewed Vivobook laptops before, this one is pretty different.
The first aspect you will notice on its laptop is its size. This Vivobook Pro is a 17 inch laptop, ideal for those who like to work and play with big screens. But that’s not the only that is attractive about this new ASUS Laptop. It also is also pretty thin, which is unusual for 17 inch laptops. Finally it has a pretty impressive hardware setup.

ASUS VivoBook Pro N705UD-EH76: Design and Display
One of the main highlights of this laptop is its design. Not much for its aesthetics, but for its extremely compact dimensions, considering it is a 17 inch laptop.
The dimensions are indeed pretty impressive. It is just 0.8″ and 16.2″ wide, making it one of the most portable 17 inch laptops currently available. It’s weight is also pretty low for a 17 incher, with just 4.6 lbs.
ASUS VivoBook Pro N705UD-EH76: CPU and GPU
The CPU and GPU are pretty important for every laptop, but even more if you have a 17 inch laptop and work with graphic projects. This specific Asus Vivobook Pro has a great setup, with some of the latest technology for both its processor and video card.
The i7-8550U is currently one of the most powerful processors among those in the 8th generation of Intel chips. This quad core processor uses the hyper-threading technology to reach a higher benchmark. It has a base frequency of 1.8 GHz and a maximum turbo speed of 4.0 GHz. This laptop will also please gamers, as it has a pretty powerful dedicated video card. Even if the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 is not among the most powerful in the latest GeForce 10 series, it still has a pretty high benchmark. In fact, it does run most games released to date with pretty high settings. Finally, they do look awesome on its 17 inch screen.

This ASUS VivoBook Pro is certainly a great laptop, but it is even better for a specific type of users. If you work with graphic arts and video edition, I highly recommend this laptop. However, if you are more into gaming, there are probably other 17 inchers to be considered. If you are looking for even more powerful laptops, I’d certainly wait for the i7-8700HQ, which is going to be released somewhere in 2018.
