Huawei Nova 3i: Premium mid-ranger with remarkable cameras

Design

Raising the bar for the looks of a mid-ranger phone, comes the glossy metal body of the Huawei Nova 3i made shinier with a dazzling glass back. The metal frame blends seamlessly around edges, accentuating the phone’s premium design. Moreover, the blend of blue and purple colours on the glass back, continuously reflecting light, don’t fail to catch immediate attention. On top of its classy looks sits a 6.5 inch display that makes up a very comfortable viewing experience.

Performance

The Huawei Nova 3i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered with EMUI 8.2 on top it. Thanks to the 4GB of RAM, the device handles multi-tasking pretty well. On the gaming front, the latest GPU Turbo technology on the device makes the case for seamless high-end gaming experience without any lag on low and medium settings. The GPU Turbo makes the device perform decently well in prolonged gaming sessions as well.

Camera
In terms of optics, the device features four AI cameras: 16-megapixel (f/2.2) + 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 24-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The device offers a plenty of camera modes that you can fiddle around with such as Pro, Slow-mo, Night, Panorama, HDR, Time-lapse, 3D panorama etc.

The Aperture mode allows you to manually adjust focus (from any value from 0.95 to 16), while with the Portrait option you can enable/disable Bokeh. Besides these, you will find these 3D lighting settings too: No, Soft, Butterfly, Split, Stage, Classic.
While outdoors, the rear dual camera setup does a fine job by capturing clear, natural and beautiful-to-look-at snaps and while indoors, both the selfie and the rear cameras yield good, sharp images.

Battery

Packing in a 3,340mAh battery, the Huawei Nova 3i has just the right amount of battery to make your device last an entire day. The device takes around 3 hours to juice up from 0 to full and once its done, there is no stopping it thanks to Huawei’s software optimizations which play a major role in increasing the battery life of the device. On moderate to heavy usage, the phone battery can gave an average of 8-9 hours of backup.
