Overview

Not only for your daily work but also for business travelers. It’s ready-to-use, medium-sized and has a durable battery. These two-in-one hybrid models can be used in both tablet and laptop form, with the highest performance possible.

Obviously, you shouldn’t have very high expectations on this one. Eventually, it’s a cheap, all in one device that can be used for many purposes.

Who Should Buy

It’s a great choice if you want your PC to be with you all the time but don’t want to carry a heavy device.

It’s a new and replacement model for the brother Switch 10 from the same Acer product line.

The Switch 10 E aims to offer a convenient work platform for mobile users in a compact sized hybrid laptop. Just like its Previous Model Switch 10, it also can be used as a 2-in-1 tablet and laptop.

Might be cheap, but has the Red Dot Design Award

Drawing attention with its colorful design, the Switch 10 E has been designed in a more fun way than its predecessor. The Switch 10 looks more professional, while the Switch 10 is more vivid and colorful. There are also different vivid color choices you can pick from like orange, red, purple, green and blue.

Switch 10 E weighs only 1.2 kilograms and it’s 22 mm thick. Of course, it reaches to that weight when the screen and keyboard are connected to each other. You can easily switch to tablet mode by removing the keyboard, so you can get rid of most of the weight.

Switch 10 E has a 10.1-inch screen. The display has a 1280×800 pixel resolution, IPS panel. IPS based panels are renowned for their wide viewing angle, but this does not apply to Switch 10E. Because the bright materials used on the screen, make it reflect the sun…

The screen also has another issue, it’s strangely much heavier than the keyboard. It might not look like a serious problem at first, but when you push the screen a little back, it disrupts the balance and the laptop starts falling back. But again, it only happens when you increase the angle.
When we look at the Switch 10 E, we see microUSB, microHDMI, and microSD card ports on the tablet/screen side. On the right side, there are buttons like the power button, sound button, and Windows key. On the keyboard, there is only one USB connection.

Techical details and the performance

On the technical side, it’s not much different than the previous model Switch 10. As we have already stated, 10 E is like a renewed version of the Switch 10 and don’t expect to see miracles from the new model. Biggest differences are Windows 10 OS support, elegant design, and a little bit stronger processor.

Intel used Intel Atom x5-Z8300 which is a new model processor and has been introduced recently. It works at a frequency of 1.44 GHz, but it can speed up to 1.84 GHz. The computer also owns the Intel HD graphics unit and is backed up with 2 GB of memory.

The Switch 10 E comes with a storage capacity of 32 GB and also offers the possibility to expand the memory with a microSD card. When you add cloud computing capabilities, the laptop covers your needs and makes it a great hybrid mobile laptop.

After all, Switch 10 E doesn’t make big performance promises. But it’s still at a sufficient level for your daily needs.

On the battery side, it has lasted about 6 hours when we used it together with the keyboard, without it, using only the screen as a tablet, it goes well beyond the 8 hours.
