It's 2015 as we all know (yes this site has been long overdue for an update). That being said I wish you all a really great and especially creative year! I can never really stop thinking about this site as it is my first one ever. Being self employed is can be very demanding at times. I have new ideas in store to help this site grow and of course more crafts. A more detailed list of ideas will be given later each one will be implemented systematically so you can see the progress also weekly updates and preview screenshots on what I am currently working on.
I hope I still somehow manage you continue to delight with creative ideas. I know I haven't been there, especially in the beginning, not quite able create every week to post something new, but I'm back there will be more Baby Crafts.

But now to my first DIY project for this year. Do you know the one-coat animals from Pablo Picasso? You may ask well what does that have to do with Mothers Day or Baby Crafts Well let me fill you in. I was at Ikea, There were beautiful prints of these drawings. Even then, I would have almost hung the drawings on the wall.

Now I had the idea of something thicker Aluminum Wire which I had actually bought for a Christmas Baby Craft that I might still post so look-out for that tis not the season though :( . I have to admit I've imagined it a little easier, but with a little patience and the right tools to get to a very good result.
I printed the drawings, because I wanted to create the bent wire repeatedly to reproduce exactly the same shape. But it was difficult for the size that it was, or the size I wanted it. So I carried on by eye ;) for the bends and curves pliers are best. The best ones are without grooves, so that there is no marks on the wire. Honestly the marks don't matter as much they add a certain aesthetic, but you'll need to mark the whole sculpt for it have continuity otherwise it would seem sloppy.

When you're done with the forms, your wire Picasso needs is a beautiful frame. I love to make the whole thing a little three-dimensional. Especially with wire indeed not everywhere evenly seated, it looks very nice if no glass pane in front of it. So I got this and simply got rid of the glass and mounted directly in the frame. The wire animals, I then secured with hot glue in two places on dark tissue paper. Now you have the back on which you can fix the artwork with small adhesive strips, attach only taped to the back of the frame.

There are plenty of crafts you can do with Aluminum Wire below is a YouTube video from a YouTube content creator that is very helpful. Her channel is called Making it Easy With Liz enjoy her tutorial.

I would suggest working with your little one for Mothers Day to make one for your mom, yourself, a friend or family member. These crafts take a certain amount of creativity and time the person you're crafting this for will know as well. Aluminum Crafts are very satisfying and rewarding to make you could even sell them if you wanted to.
