L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation & Pro-Matte Powder Review, Photos Swatches

I’ve had this in my stash for months now. I used it once or twice before but I never got around to use it frequently because I said that I’ll be reviewing it first. Lo and behold, it didn’t happen. So as I was shopping in my stash for hidden gems, I saw this and I decided to use it more often. Turns out I loved it, especially the Foundation. Here are my thoughts about the L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation and the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder.

The Infallible Liquid Foundation from L’Oreal Paris boasts a 24HR longwear and full coverage. The formulation also fights makeup meltdown to keep your face looking flawless and fresh all day.

Create the look you want with this Infallible Pro-Matte Powder from L’Oreal Paris. It absorbs excess oil and reduces shine on the surface of the skin for up to 16 hours. The lightweight pressed powder can be used alone, to set foundation after application,

The packaging of these products are fairly simple and direct to the point. Both the foundation and the pressed Powder features the color of the Infallible line which is black and red. You can read more about the entire line here. The foundation bottle is similar to their new version of their True Match Liquid foundation. It has a pump which is an advantage because you get to measure how much product you need.

The Infallible Pro-Matte Powder’s packaging is also similar to their blushes only this one comes with a sponge at the bottom. The sponge has a nice quality and texture and it doesn’t feel cheap. I have been using the sponge a couple of times already and it feels soft to the skin. I don’t think it’s one of those types of sponges that gets rough over time.

I am not exactly sure how many shades we have here in our country, but as for the foundation, the shade that I got is 140 Golden Beige and it matches my skin perfectly. The powder, however, is a tad darker than my skin tone as you can see in the photo above. I got the shade 200 Natural Beige but since the powder is lightweight, it blends easily on my face and the difference is no longer that obvious.

This foundation is a bit thicker and creamier than the True Match foundation. But it offers way more pigmentation and coverage. I was able to even out my skin tone, cover some minor imperfections/rednesses with just a single layer. I added another layer for some parts that require further coverage like my broken capillaries around my mouth, some really red spots around my nose, but for my under eye area, I used my TheSaem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer in 01.

Unfortunately, I was not able to take a photo of myself when I set my foundation & concealer using the L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder. Like I said, the shade’s a bit darker than my skin tone but it blended beautifully on my skin. It offers a nice and buildable coverage but it doesn’t get cakey on me when I use it on its own.

I used the BYS Sponge when I applied the foundation and I didn’t have any problems in terms of blending the foundation. It didn’t settle into the fine lines/dry parts of my face. Both the foundation and the powder looks matte on me, especially this one but it doesn’t make my skin look dry or dull.

Both products claim to be long-lasting but I was not able to test it according to their claims (24 hours for the foundation; 16 hours for the powder). But, I applied my foundation at 11am and when I removed it between 8-9PM pak parin ang foundation ko. That’s how long this product lasted on me. Mind you, I didn’t use a primer nor the Infallible setting spray. Just these products alone. I’m so impressed! Oh, and it doesn’t transfer as much! Usually when I wipe my nose or my forehead, there will be a major product transfer, but I don’t see that as much when it comes to these two. I’m definitely shookt!

They don’t really smell anything in particular. The Stay Fresh Foundation smells like a typical L’oreal Foundation which is something that I’ve actually gotten used to. As for the powder, it doesn’t really smell anything.

Overall, I am in love with these products, especially the foundation. I find myself using this foundation whenever I do my makeup. It lasts long on my face, it doesn’t accentuate the dry areas of my face, it doesn’t cake up, and it makes my skin healthy looking despite the matte finish. My favorite L’oreal True Match Foundation has now found a new competitor, lol.
