Bioré’s Newest Makeup Removers: Quick Review & Demo + GIVEAWAY!

I remembered when I used to Remove my Makeup with either petroleum jelly or with a baby oil. There’s nothing wrong with it, but I distinctly remember the feeling right after. Que horror! My face never felt so greasy in my entire life. I’ve been addicted to makeup ever since I can remember and I can’t even find a more viable solution in terms of removing it. OMG. Until of course, I started watching Youtube beauty videos and reading beauty blogs and that’s when I discovered that there’s a specific product for that. Hah! I know, I know. But my mama uses a baby oil/petroleum jelly to remove her makeup so sue me.

Bioré.

Biore offers an entire line of makeup removers suitable for all our needs and preference. There are different methods of cleansing depending on your makeup type. Let me walk you through them along with a demo/example of how their products work.

Bioré Cleansing Oil (Php 320) is best for those who wear heavy makeup but would like to get rid of them as fast and as gently as possible. This is actually something that I gave my sister and my niece back when they had their makeup done. They wanted a product that can remove their entire makeup without washing their face (they were too sleepy at the time). I’m not recommending that you do this, however, this product can and will get every bit of makeup residue in no time. Not to mention the fact that it doesn’t leave your face feeling or looking greasy afterwards.

This product is indeed perfect for those who wear heavy makeup frequently as it effectively dissolves and removes heavy makeup, even waterproof mascara while lifting away dirt and impurities.

Here in this demo, I swatched some of my long-lasting liquid lipsticks from different brands and waited for it to set a bit (I forgot to swatch my Heroine Make Mascara which is really tough to remove but still). I used two pumps of the cleansing oil to get rid of all of the swatches and as you can see, the Bioré Cleansing Oil got almost all of it. (except for the Peripera Peri’s Ink Velvet which is a really pain to remove). Still, the product was successful in removing practically everything. Bioré Cleansing Oil also does not emulsify with water, thus maintaining its optimal cleansing performance at all times.

Next we have the the Bioré Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash (Php 299). I’ve heard about this product from Anne Clutz and I’ve seen her use this in number of her videos. Apparently, this is ideal for those who wear light/minimal makeup. Whether we admit it or not, there are times when we tend to skip our makeup removers and go straight to washing our face whenever we wear light makeup. “Eh! Okay lang yan! Wala naman na yung BB Cream & kilay ko. Hulas na beauty ko… keribelz na yan!” That’s what we (or I rather, lol) often say to ourselves. This is wrong. We should not skip our makeup removers regardless of how much makeup we have left on our skin. Although it may look like the make-up has melted or rubbed off, there is actually a lot of residue left on the skin.

However, thanks to this foaming facial wash we get to cut down the double cleansing. With its ultra-fine foam, this two-in-one wash removes light make-up and sunscreen from the skin surface and penetrates deep into pores to remove all dirt, impurities, and make-up residue. The Bioré Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash is definitely ideal for those who wear minimal to light makeup frequently but would love to eliminate a step.

In the demo above, I used mostly the products that I used on a daily basis such as the Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara, the BYS Brow Gel, a lip and cheek tint, two of the liquid liners that I often use (Heroine Make & Maybelline Hyper Ink) among others. As you can see it got rid of nearly all of the products that I swatched except for the liners, which I completely understand as the product is intended for minimal to light makeup only. Still, I highly recommend this product as it got rid of practically everything I swatched.

Then we have the Bioré Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets (Php 99 & Php 405). This product is AMAZING and it continues to wow me every time I use it. I remember the first time I got it from a BDJ Box. I used it during a Beauty Bound Asia event/contest. I had to remove my makeup at the event itself because we have to redo our makeup there. It got rid of EVERYTHING. I was able to remove my waterproof eyeliner, mascara and my Colourpop liquid lipstick using just two sheets. Sure, it’s a bit pricey for facial wipes but trust me when I tell you that it gets rid of EVERYTHING! Everything! This has been my goto travelling makeup wipes because I don’t  need to bring a micellar water, cleansing oil, eye and lip makeup removers and whatnots. It’s a one-stop-shop product for me whenever I travel.

This product is ideal for those who are always on the go and are looking for a quick and easy way to remove their light/heavy makeup. Apparently, this face cloth is moistened with the Bioré Cleansing Oil so it can thoroughly remove your entire makeup including residue. It’s also infused with hydrating beauty essence that leaves skin smooth and hydrated. Each sheet is made with 100% fiber so you can be sure that it’s gentle and it feels so soft on the skin.

In the photo above, I also used most of the products that I use on a daily basis, except here I included my current favorite mascara, Heroine Make. I also swatched Cathy Doll’s gel liner, along with Heroine Make’s liquid liner and other lip products that I normally use. As you can see, it got rid of everything. Like I said, I’m shookt. I am completely amazed by this product despite the price tag, I will continue to buy more of this. Trust me on that

Finally we have their new and improved Bioré Micellar Waters (Php 460). I’ve used this way back when they only had their smaller bottles (90 ml – Php 210) and I really like it because compared to other micellar waters that I’ve tried lately, this doesn’t dry out my face (the Moist Up variant). They now added a new variant called Oil Control and it’s for those who have oily skin.

Bioré Micellar Water is a wipe off makeup remover that gently but effectively dissolves makeup. However, despite how gentle the formula is, it can definitely remove even waterproof makeup in just one swipe. This is ideal for those of us who wear medium to high coverage makeup but prefers a gentle cleansing routine that wont irritate the skin.

Here, again, I used most of the products I often use. I also used Clio Kill Cover concealer underneath since that concealer is very long-lasting and it adheres to the skin really well. I also used the Maybelline HyperCurl Mascara, BYS Brow gel, Essence eyeliner, lip and cheek tint among other things. As you can see, it only took two cotton rounds to get rid of all of the swatches. But of course it’s going to take more than that to remove your entire face makeup. Nevertheless, it’s definitely gentle and requires less effort. Oh and did I mention that it’s hydrating too? lol.

So that’s the entire line of Bioré’s Makeup Removers. I love all of them especially their Micellar Water and their Facial Sheets. You guys know that I love micellar water ever since then so when Bioré released their Micellar waters here in our country, I couldn’t be more excited. Especially now with their newest packaging (pumps!) It’s definitely a lot more convenient to use! Oh and those facial sheets! I lah-ove! It’s so easy to use and I can definitely ditch the bottles when travelling! Definitely the most convenient makeup remover I have ever used!
