Halloween is just around the corner! If you or someone you love has food allergies, this holiday may come with stress and anxiety. Go ahead and breathe a sigh of relief because I’m sharing my favorite allergy-friendly Halloween candies!

This Halloween is the first year my husband and I will be giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Of course, I’m excited to meet our neighbors and see the cute costumes but I’m most excited to make the families with food allergies feel welcome and excited.

Thankfully, my food allergies and intolerances came to a head when I was older so my parents didn’t have to worry about me running from house to house. I can only imagine how scary this holiday could be for some. I’m planning on putting out a teal pumpkin, marking our home on Nextdoor as an allergy-friendly house, and maybe even putting out teal colored lights. I really want parents to know that I understand how serious food allergies are, and I want the kids to have a fun-filled night of trick-or-treating.

In addition to going house to house on Halloween evening, there are often parties, school functions, and more that come along with this season. These sweets are perfect for those occasions as well.
