Worsley Old Hall, Manchester

When in Manchester, we usually stay in the Worsley Park Marriott. It is an excellent hotel with all of the amenities that we need. Staff are always very friendly and the hotel is set back in a quiet location.

Just a two minute walk from the hotel is the Worsley Old Hall pub, that we regularly eat in. The restaurant serves a fresh menu, with every Dish consists of quality ingredients and delicious flavour combinations.

The bar area is everything that you could hope for from a traditional British pub. With open fires and sofas to sit on, it is the perfect place for a drink in the evenings.

The menu does change slightly day on day but here are a few of my favourite dishes:

My favourite dish for a light lunch is the Toasted spelt bread with avocado, spiced tomato hummus and a poached egg with a side dish of Tomato, rocket and shaved Parmesan salad:

One of the yummiest Thai chicken salads I have ever eaten:

Pan fried Sea Bass with pak choi & vegetables in an asian broth:

Moroccan Lamb:

They also have an outdoor seated area where they cook barbecues in the summer, which I would highly recommend. The pub is set in amongst beautiful grounds, so great for a walk after lunch – weather permitting of course!
