Increasing numbers of landlords ditching letting agents to go it alone!

Recent changes to mortgage tax relief rules and stricter mortgage criteria is leading Landlords to abandon their estate agents to find their tenants on their own in order to save on monthly costly fees.

LetBritain has conducted a survey which found that 67% of the countries landlords would consider using private websites to find tenants in order to avoid monthly fees.

Almost a quarter (23%) of landlords have claimed they have lost hundreds of pounds at times where the estate agents failed to find them tenants.

The survey has also found that 37% of landlords do not believe the UK rental market is fit for purpose, with this number rising to 50% within London.

The Founder and CEO of LetBritain, Fareed Nabir, says: “Today’s research presents a number of concerning insights into the difficulties faced by Britain’s vital landlord community. It is obvious that landlords up and down the country feel let down by the current property letting system.”

“Clearly, a faster, more affordable and transparent system is required to support the market of 2017 for both landlords and tenants,” adds Nabir.
