Kicking Off Summer with Memorial Day 10 Cocktail Recipes to Try

Summer can't get fast enough for us! Celebrate longer days and warm nights with a cocktail made for Memorial Day and beyond.

Everyone is thrilled that summer and Memorial Day is finally here! Let's grab all our winter things, make a bonfire out of them and use the flames to make s'mores! Okay, only kidding (maybe), but it is thrilling to have warm weather and a three day holiday happening at the same time!

If you're having friends and family over for a weekend dinner...out under the stars...or if you're off to a friend's place, it never hurts to have a cocktail recipe or two that you can use. Who doesn't like a mixed drink? Um, no one. I've rounded up cocktails that invoke the best of summer: scented with peaches, grapefruits and oranges. If you're like me, in that you're better at imbibing cocktails than making them, FAB NEWS! In this cocktail roundup there are at least three (yass!) cocktails that are so easy to make, you could get a cat to do it. Well, probably not the cat. Cats only do what they want to do. But you get the idea.

Ketel One Botanical & Soda Peach & Orange Blossom
One of the easiest Memorial Day --or anytime cocktails to make

Yields 1 Serving
Ingredients:
Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Blossom (1.5 oz.)
Top with sparkling water (3 oz.)
Wine glass
ice
Directions:
Pour Ketel on into a wine glass, add ice and then choose a garnish: fragrant herbs, crisp citrus, or fresh fruit

Sailor Jerry Lemonade
Another easy peasy cocktail recipe to make...whoo hoo!

Ingredients:
2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
Top with lemonade
Directions:
Serve on the rocks or in a pitcher for large groups.

Ginger Monkey
Promised you easy cocktails...here's another one!

Ingredients:
1 ½ parts Monkey Shoulder Scotch
2 ¾ parts Ginger Ale
1 Orange wedge
Directions:
Fill long glass with ice. Pour ingredients in glass and gently stir. Garnish with orange wedge.

 Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit Glow

Ingredients:
Ingredients:1.5 oz Grapefruit Rose Ketel One Botanical
.75 oz. Fresh Grapefruit juice
.5 oz. Fresh Pineapple juice
.5 oz. Wild Blueberry Honey
2 oz. Hibiscus Tea
1 Dash Rose Water
Grapefruit wedge
Collins glass
Yields one cocktail
Directions:
Build in a Collins glass over ice. Garnish with a half grapefruit wedge to serve. 

Flor de Caña Pineapple Daiquiri

Ingredients:
2 parts Flor de Caña 7
2 parts pineapple juice
1/3 part fresh lime juice
2/3 part extra-fine sugar
Directions:
Combine the pineapple juice, rum, lime juice, sugar, and ½ cup ice in a cocktail shaker and shake to chill. Strain into a stemmed cocktail glass. Garnish with pineapple wedge.

El Bandido

Ingredients:
1 Part Montelobos Mezcal
1 Part Ancho Reyes Verde
1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
½ Part Simple Syrup
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and shake well. Serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel, mint sprig and avocado salt dust.

Ketel One Botanical Mint To Be

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Cucumber & Mint Ketal One Botanical
.75 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
.75 oz. Fresh Pressed Kiwi Juice
.75 oz. Natural Agave
8 Leaves of Mint
2 oz. Club Soda
Collins glass
Garnish: mint bouquet and cucumber slice,
Directions:
Build in a Collins glass over ice. Add garnish and serve.

Reyka Pimms Cup

Ingredients:
1 Part Cucumber-infused Reyka Vodka
1 Part Pimms
¾ Part Fresh Lemon
¾ Part Ginger Syrup
Top Soda
Garnish: Cucumber Ribbon and mint
Glass: wine
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Shake, garnish, serve.

El Rey de Reyes

Ingredients:
1 part Ancho Reyes Verde
1 part Ancho Reyes Original
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
1/3 part Rich simple syrup 2:1 Sugar:Water
Small pinch salt
1 dash Angostura
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake hard and strain into a cocktail coupe.

Ketel One Botanical Peachy Keen Fizz
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Peach & Orange Blossom Ketel One Botanical
.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz. Fresh Strawberry and Rhubarb Reduction
2 oz. Tonic Water
Garnish: orange wheel, lemon oil
Collins glass
Yields 1 Serving
Directions:
Build in a Collins glass over ice. Add garnish and then serve.
