Disneyland is located in Orange County, California and you can Visit Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. I've been to both! Disneyworld is bigger than Disneyland though.
For all of us that have basically grown up with all the cute characters at Disneyland is always a dream come true. I've been to Disneyland and Disneyworld 5 times in two years. It's always an incredible adventure to see.
You’ll find all of your favorite shops, food, and attractions in both areas. I'd suggest getting the Disneyland and Disneyworld App, its the best thing to do when you get there, you can see how long the lines are and wait times and you can do a fast pass on the app too. Try Butterbeer, dine at the Leaky Cauldron, where they import authentic ingredients from the U.K., send a letter via Owl Post or get an interactive wand to test your magic around both parks.
One of my favorite experiences was see the fun fireworks at night, the Pirates of the Caribbean, the haunted mansion and more. Don't forget to go way early in the morning! We got there right before it opened and we had loads of time to get on every ride we wanted to see. Then you will be done around 11am, then you can go explore the city you're in. :)
