Click 3: Interview with Eloísa Sánchez-Amillategui

Today I want to share with you the Interview I did with Eloísa Sánchez-Amillategui during her visit to Buenos Aires to the National Museum of the History of the Costume. Eloísa studied law. Twenty years ago she left the laws and discovered her passion for the history of clothing when she searched the legacy of her father, the spanish painter Eufemiano. Almost unintentionally and next with a friend investigated the history of the clothing to understand what it wants to say to us in each epoch. Visit museums to investigate fashion and also review the works of other contemporary painters and collectors. She is part of the Association of Friends of the Madrid Costume Museum. Her link with art and fashion dance the same music. And when you talk to her, you see the passion that permeates everything she does. For Eloisa “Without knowing there is no good fashion”. We talk about art, fashion and colors. Because she is also a specialist in colorimetry. I could see her color chart that she always carries in her bag. She explains that when she travels she always finds some garment she likes and for this the color chart is a perfect ally.

“The evolution of dress and the social role of women. From corset to trousers “was the title of the presentation she made in Buenos Aires. An interesting tour through the history of clothing.

I invite you to listen the interview (sorry, the audio is only in spanish) and to enjoy the beautiful spanish accent of an argentine woman who went away as a child and always returns to her beloved Buenos Aires.

I wait in the next podcasts. You can find me at Click.
