Hello my lovely people out there!!!

So I have been requested to write a post on affordable skincare products available in India. Skincare is more important than Makeup and we have to be religiously following a routine (depends on each skin type) to keep our skin healthy and beautiful. There are so many products that work really well and are pocket-friendly as well. So I thought of giving affordable options under each category and start a series where I would be suggesting different products under each skincare category which are priced under Rs.500. Majority of the products are the ones I have used and love it, some are the ones which have heard that it has worked great on many.

Every skin is different and I would suggest you to do patch test before trying any of these. I am giving the options here and you can choose whichever you would love to try. So let’s get started. And yeah I would suggest you guys to buy these Face cleansers when they are on sale so that you can save some extra bucks (if it’s not urgent)

Affordable Face wash/ Face cleanser under Rs. 250

1.The face shop Herb Day 365 foaming cleanser

Price: Rs.300. Mostly on sale at Rs.270

This is suitable for all skin types except very dry skin. It would take 2-3 days to get adjusted with your skin and after that, you are going to absolutely love it. This is my all-time favourite face wash. It gives an instant brightness.

There are so many variants available. I love the lemon variant the most. I have heard that aloe vera variant works really well for dry skin people.

2.Lotus Herbals Neem & clove purifying face wash

Price: Rs. 140

This face wash contains active neem slices and clove extracts. Suitable for all skin types. This controls acne and is good option for acne-prone skin. Since it is a gel based cleanser, it doesn’t make the skin stretchy or dry.

3. Cetaphil gentle cleanser

Price: Rs. 217

A perfect cleanser for dry and problematic skin. This is gentle and keeps the skin soft and hydrated. I have already recommended this to some of my followers and they gave a very positive feedback. So if you have a dry skin, give this a try **and do let me know if it worked for you**

4. Biotique Bio Honey Gel

Price: Rs.149

This is a gel based face cleanser which is again suitable for all skin types. Sometimes I feel it makes my skin feel bit stretchy (which obviously disappears after moisturising) and sometimes it doesn’t make my skin dry or stretchy. But whatever it is, I liked it and my sister loved it. She was going to repurchase it but then she bought another face wash from Biotique which you can find below.

5. Biotique Papaya visibly ageless scrub wash

Price: Rs.150 for 150 ml. There is smaller pack available for Rs.60 too.

This face wash has fine scrub particles which exfoliate the skin very mildly. It is suitable for all skin types and I pretty much liked it. Super affordable and worth trying. However not suitable for very sensitive skin.

6.Clean & Clear foaming face wash

Starting Price: Rs. 63

This is an age-old face cleanser which does the job of cleaning and removing the dirt, oil pollution really well. I have used this during my schooling and college and I can recommend this to teenagers without any second thought.

7. Clean and clear pimple clearing face wash

Starting Price: Rs.51

This is an affordable option for oily and acne prone skin. This face wash might be a bit drying but then again the dryness would disappear after moisturizing. It helps in fading away pimples too.

8.Himalaya herbals fresh start oil clear face wash

Price: Rs. 75 (50 ml) for Rs.140 (100 ml)

They come in different variants and is a good face wash for oily skin. It contains natural exfoliating particles which are not at all harsh. I liked the blueberry variant and as it claims, it does remove all the excess oil from the face. All of their variants are rich in Vitamin C and are gel based. These are just like another face wash with exfoliating beads and can be considered as a good option for the price it is being offered.

9. Himalaya neem face wash

Price: 240

This face wash works well in removing oil and also helps in preventing acne. I would recommend this for an oily, sensitive and acne prone skin.

10. Jovees Herbals bridal brightening face wash

Price: Rs.245 (120 ml)

This is suitable for all skin types. It does brighten up the skin when used along with the face cream but the glow doesn’t last longer. This face wash has sparkles in them which was personally very intriguing to me.

Affordable face wash under Rs.500

11. Neutrogena oil-free Acne wash

Price: 571 but you can easily for Rs.467

My sister is using this and is totally in love with it. It says “oil-free” but She has a normal skin and this face cleanser didn’t cause any dryness. Plus it did work in controlling her acne. A little product goes a long way. This one bottle will last for months.

12. Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash

Price: Rs. 345 but on Amazon you can get it for Rs.258. There’s always some or the other offers going on.

This is face wash contains green tea extract, mild exfoliating natural beads, and glycolic acid. Oily and acne prone skin people can definitely give this a shot. The exfoliating beads are made up of cellulose which are safe, mild and would not damage the skin.

13.The face shop rice bran 3 in 1 face cleanser

Price: Rs. 690     Sale Price: Rs. 480

yes yes I know the price is above Rs.500 but this face cleanser is really worth trying. And you can grab yours when the brand has 30% off on Nykaa. Because that’s the best time to pick this and as soon as the sale starts this particular face wash goes out of stock in a few hours. It is suitable for all skin types. It can be used as a face cleanser, scrub and as a makeup remover. One bottle goes a long way. I don’t prefer this for everyday use but this is an amazing one whenever you want to deep cleanse and scrub your face at the same time.
