What Is My Skin Type?

With our USANA Celavive® line, your skincare can be personalised for oily/ combination/ dry/ sensitive Skin types. However, this isn’t much help if you don’t know your skin type, is it? Don’t worry; if your skin doesn’t resemble the Saharan desert nor an oil mine, we are here to help you figure out your skin type! We can all be empowered by understanding our own skin type and what its specific needs are.

Your Skin Is Unique

From the get-go, let’s point out that no one has the same skin as you! Still, your skin type will fall into one of these main categories, or it might even be a combination of several. Either way, once you know your skin typeyou can choose the best skincare routine to, well, care for your skin.

Skin Types

Oily

This one is pretty self-explanatory. If you have excess oil all over your skin, chances are you fit into the oily skin type. You might also be prone to blackheads and blemishes or have larger pores.

One way you can check excess oil, is to dab your face and see if there are oil marks on the tissue.

Combination

This is a combination of dry and oily skin. Many people with combination skin find that there is a small amount of oil around the nose, and sometimes forehead and chin, but other areas such as the cheeks stay matte.

Dry

Dry skin types probably don’t need to blot around the nose to remove excess oil, and the face stays matte from morning until night. Something the oily gals and guys envy!

If you find when your skin needs some TLC it can get dry, flaky or rough and moisturiser is your best friend, this is where you’ll fit in.

Sensitive

The sensitive souls of the skin world. Sensitive skin is easily irritated, especially when you interact with new products or environments. You might also find your skin blushes easily.

Sensitive skin can become red, irritated, and itchy after using normal daily products. Basic cleansers can sometimes be too irritating for people with sensitive skin.

I Don’t Have Any of These Skin Problems

Oh, hi there perfect skin. Are you one of the lucky ones with the ‘normal’ skin type?

As we said before, everyone has unique skin. Most people with pretty ‘normal’ skin can still struggle with skin problems whether it be dehydration, dryness, oil, blemishes or uneven skin tone, so you can still cater to your specific needs. In addition, it’s always important to care for your skin and keep it healthy now and in the future!
