Finally, it feels like October! We had a nice, crisp (for Houston!) morning, and I loved running in it. I enjoyed looking at all my neighbors’ Halloween decorations, and I can’t wait to trick-or-treat with my kids. But having a Healthy Halloween can be a challenge. I like to sneak some of my kids’ fun size bars (shh!), and that can send my sugar intake above what’s comfortable. Eating too much sugar can cause fatigue – and over time, diabetes and heart disease. Because I want those mini Twix bars, I try to balance out the rest of my day.
