Arrows In Your Hair: ORNOT x Stinner Ti Road

If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to get in touch with the Ornot crew, makers of subtly stylish cycling apparel. They’ve again teamed up with fellow Californians Stinner Frameworks on a titanium show bike that’s definitely not all show.

This is the second time the neighbors have collaborated on a project, the first was a putty-and-pink-coloured ‘crosser dressed up in ORNOT-branded livery, and the new ti road bike is a similarly spectacular partnership.

The road-going sequel is equipped with components from SRAM and Ritchey Logic. This time, a smattering of black Chris King bearings has been spec’d, and it combines to form a stealthy steed.

ORNOT are proud of the lack of conspicuous branding on their gear, but their visual presence here is strong, made up of bold rhythmic patterns of arrows and, for this edition, a striking teal and black color scheme.

The new colorway is representative of their latest clothing accents and here is matched with a SRAM RED groupset, driving a Chris King-built pair of wheels with deep carbon ENVE 3.4 rims.

The artwork that Stinner’s Head Of Paint, James Bellerue, applies to their frames have significantly added to the Santa Barbaran builder’s reputation for fun-looking machines, but you just know that underneath the gloss is exquisite engineering.

Brushed titanium is a finish whose fascination will never fade, and even though it’s covered with the ORNOT livery, the ride quality is sure to be a crescendo of Californian charisma. Head to their website to see the rest of their range.
