Pre-Kaged by Kaged Muscle Review – Fruit Punch

We’ve reviewed Pre-Kaged by Kaged Muscle, fruit punch flavour.

We had reviewers try these supplements before a Workout and to note the effects they felt, including performance boost and side effects. How did Pre-Kaged come out in our test?

First, let’s take a look at what Pre-Kaged aims to do.

Pre-Kaged pre-workout claims to boost endurance performance, increase alertness and help to work through plateaus. It also says it will help to create new personal records.

This pre-workout sets high standards.

But, does Pre-Kaged meet its claims?

We’ve had 3 reviewers try it out, let’s find out what they said.

Packaging

This tub is made from black strong plastic, it has a black label on it which has green, white, silver and black colours on.

It looks very professional and promising.

‘Kaged Muscle’ is in silver at the top of the label with ‘pre’ being in green with a silver outline and ‘-kaged’ being in white with a silver outline.

The information is easy to read as the important stuff like ingredients and directions for use are in black with a white background or vice versa.

The packaging is not boring at all. The tub is sealed with a clear plastic trip that has ‘micropure quality’ printed all over.

The tub is a lot bigger than other preworkouts. You can get an idea by comparing it to the penny that is beside it.

Ingredients

Niacin (as Niacinamide), Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride), Vitamin B12 (as Methylcobalamin), L-Citrulline (fermented), QU995 (Quercetin Anhydrous), L-Leucine (fermented), L-Isoleucine (fermented), L-Valine (fermented), L-Leucine (fermented), Carnosyn® (Beta Alanine), BetaPower® (Natural Betaine), Patented Creatine HCl, Coconut Water Powder, SPECTRA Total ORAC Blend, Taurine, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, L-Tyrosine, PurCaf Caffeine (from green coffee beans), Natural flavors, malic acid, beet root powder (color), sunflower lecithin, citric acid, sea salt, stevia, sucralose, silicon dioxide, calcium silicate.

Suggested Use

As a dietary supplement, mix one scoop with 16-20 ounces of cold water in a shaker bottle 30 to 45 minutes before workout. Continue to shake bottle lightly between sips and drink entirely between 25 minutes of mixing.

Taste & Mixability

I wasn’t a huge fan of the taste of Pre-Kaged fruit punch. It wasn’t the worst I’ve tried but certainly not the best.

Obviously, the taste isn’t the focus here so I wasn’t too bothered about the taste. It did look like it was a fruit punch when mixed though.

It mixed pretty well, in my opinion. I shook it vigorously for about 3 minutes and it worked well. The consistency was smooth with some residue left behind.

The residue did not affect the texture, so it was not a problem for me.

Effectiveness

I noticed an energy boost around 15 minutes after taking this supplement. This encouraged my focus and drive meaning I pushed myself throughout my workout.

The energy and focus lasted throughout my workout, although I did not reach any new personal bests.

My stamina and endurance were at a high, even when I was doing my cool-down.

I would definitely say my alertness was improved with this preworkout.

I did not feel any muscle pump, nor did I expect to.

I felt great after the workout and did not experience any tingling like I have with other pre-workouts.

I would definitely try Pre-Kaged again but I would try it with an extra scoop to see if I could have an even better workout where I beat personal records.

I would give Pre-Kaged preworkout an overall 6.5/10.

Side Effects

I did not experience any tingles after taking this supplement.

Nor did I experience a crash afterwards.

However, I did feel slightly nauseous after my workout for around 45 minutes, this may or may not be related to the preworkout but I am not sure.

Other Users Experiences:

Every user experiences vary due to different factors like height and weight.

Therefore, we’ve got two more fitness fanatics to try this workout to give us a better outlook on what it can help to achieve.

Reviewer Lucas: Male, 25

Taste 7/10 – “Initially I was put off by the smell of the powder, but it actually tasted ok once it was made into a drink”

Texture 8/10 – “This pre-workout required regular mixing and shaking to reduce residue but it wasn’t lumpy or horrible to drink.”

Energy Boost 7/10 – “This wasn’t my best workout but I had enough energy to complete a decent session at the gym.”

Focus 5/10 – “I felt slightly light-headed at points during my workout”

Tingle – “None”

Burn – “None”

Shakes – “None”

Crash – “None”

Side Effects – “The light-headedness I felt from time to time”

Other Notes – “I had eaten more calories on this day so I expected it to help me lift heavier, but if anything my energy was lower unfortunately. Need to review a second time.”

Overall Rating 6.5/10

Reviewer Jason: Male, 26

Taste 6.5/10 – “This tasted like medicine, it required a lot more water than pre-workouts I’ve tried before. I found it difficult to drink this one quickly.”

Texture 8/10 – “This was smooth to drink with only a small amount of residue at the bottom. A yellow layer floated at the top but easily dispersed with a light shake of the cup.

Energy Boost 8/10 – “I hadn’t eaten before my workout, which I normally do, so I thought I’d be running on empty during the workout. However, I feel this workout pushed me through.”

Focus 8/10 – “I was really focussed during this workout – leg day! Had a really intense workout and set some personal bests on several exercises. I worked hard throughout.”

Tingle – “None”

Burn – “None”

Shakes – “None”

Crash – “I felt a bit drowsy at times after the workout, but I think that had more to do with lack of food rather than the preworkout itself.”

Side Effects – “Drowsiness? Also had a bit of stomach ache at the beginning of my workout.”

Other Notes – “Considering that the pre-workout was the only source of energy I had I think it did a really good job. Once the stomach ache had gone it went really well.”

Overall Rating  8/10

Is Pre-Kaged a good pre-workout?

Pre-Kaged is an average preworkout, in my opinion.

Although each user had a different experience with it they all felt some sort of energy boost and focus after supplementing it.

It definitely helps to engage you in your workout and improves alertness.

I personally don’t love it, nor do I hate it. It is just an average preworkout in my opinion.

Pre-Kaged was given an overall rating of 7/10.

If Pre-Kaged isn’t what you are looking for, you will definitely find a supplement more suitable in this guide.
