Week 1 Catch Up.

It’s been a week on my new fitness and Diet venture and honestly, it’s been bloody difficult. I’ve craved everything under the sun –> Chocolate, sweets, more chocolate, crisps, cake, even more chocolate –> you name it, if it’s frowned upon, I’ve wanted it.

It’s perfectly normal at the start of a diet to want things you can’t have and it’s mainly because your body is adjusting to it –> I’ve gone from quite a high carb diet to a relatively low one and my body is having a serious grump about it. My boyfriend said it would get easier as long as I don’t cave –> and I completely agreed. An hour late I was on the sofa eating a family sized bag of popcorn because carb-craving strops were imminent

I woke up yesterday feeling so groggy and sick and I’ve realised that I really do need to be stricter with myself –> my body might be craving it but it hates it more when I give in.

Apart from that slip up, I’ve been super good with my diet and my meals have been really yummy –> I’ve been having a sweet potato falafel salad for lunch each day and some strange concoction for dinner. My meals have been quite meat heavy this week but I’ve stalked pintrest over the weekend and I’ve found lots of vegetarian dishes to try.

I’ve worked out 6 times this week (5 weight sessions and 1 just cardio –> in other words, my book was getting seriously good and I refused to do anything other than bike work until I finished it). I’ve noticed that my core is not as strong as it used to be and this is something I would really like to improve.

I did decline sit-ups for the first time this week and boy were they tough –> my face says it all:

I was super happy to leg press my personal best this week –> 135KG each side! I couldn’t walk the next day but that’s half the fun of it

This week I’m going to be focusing on my core –> after each session I’m going to do a quick abs circuit which will include Russian twists, toe touches, leg raises and planks to start strengthening it back up!

Oh and I’ll be avoiding the popcorn and chocolate isle when we go shopping

Has another else struggled with their carb craving? Any advice please!

Do you have a good alternative to chocolate? Any suggestions are welcome –> my stomach would appreciate it greatly
