Yotopia: Yoga and Hot Yoga Studio in the heart of Covent Garden

“Don’t just be good to others, be good to yourself too”

Yoga, as the name suggests, is “Yog” which depicts the activity of balancing your mental health with the physical. Many of us are unaware of the fact that the Sanskrit word for “yoga” means “union”. This concept of union is at the core of Yoga philosophy. The sole purpose of yoga is to unite us with our spirit, essence, or true nature.  Yoga as a concept cultivates and supports our most basic aspirations like happiness, a sense of peace, Kindness. Kindness to ourselves, our bodies, and to others.

As per psychologists, we feel depressed while dwelling on the past, we are anxious we are worrying about the future, if we are at peace we are present in the moment. The physical practice (asanas/poses) of yoga is a means to stay in the present moment.

The practice of yoga offers many physical, mental, and emotional benefits.  At Yotopia, we primarily focus on building strength, flexibility, injury prevention, sports performance, lower blood pressure, better overall health and weight loss/maintenance. At Yotopia, you will learn how to burn calories and sweat while having fun at the same time. This physical practice increases awareness of the present moment. When you learn to be alert while living your present you can then actually start focussing on relieving stress, peace of mind, self-confidence and self-awareness.

Yotopia Yoga and Hot Yoga Studio in the heart of Covent Garden, renowned for offering the ultimate hot yoga experience by teaching pupils with the ultimate art of hot yoga in a warm, welcoming, home-like environment.  We expertise in real fitness and real results for our people! Now, why hot yoga? Performing yoga in increased temperature is said to be more effective as the heat becomes beneficial in turning the muscles warm, warm muscles are flexible muscles, allowing you to stretch your body deeply with fewer chances of injury. The heat in the temperature aids in detoxifying the body to make you feel energized and rejuvenated! It also adds a cardiovascular exercise which other yoga classes don’t offer, making any hot yoga class at Yotopia a great option for overall fitness.

There are multiple ways to heat a room, but heating alone removes virtually all humidity from the air causing the body perspiration to evaporate as soon as it is produced leading to dehydration and exhaustion. At Yotopia, we always maintain a comfortable and healthy humidity of 40-50%. The humidity prevents perspiration from evaporating. When our body produces perspiration, it sits on the skin and allows our body’s cooling system (perspiration) to do what it’s supposed to do – maintain a safe internal body temperature.  Contrary to popular belief, the humidity doesn’t cause you to sweat more, the lack of evaporation helps to prevent dehydration you might experience in a heated environment without proper humidity.
