What Caused 13,000-mile Line in the Sky Above the Earth?

Tyler Glockner is a known conspiracy theorist who uploads videos to his YouTube channel, secureteam10. A recent post shows a 12,000 to 13,000 mile long line extending around the globe.

The line is seen in Google Earth, an application that allows you to look a satellite photography of the planet. Glockner uses the app to scroll around the Earth, revealing the white line that appears to be made of clouds, running from Antarctica to the North Pole.

Glockner points out that the software does not show airplane contrails so the line was unlikely to be made by a jet plane circumnavigating the globe.

Glockner suggests that anything creating this line would have to be able to fly from Antarctica to the North Pole in a straight line without stopping or changing direction. He also states that it would have had to be able to do this in a matter of minutes while being large enough to make a trail that would be picked up by the satellites.

Hundreds of thousands of people have viewed the uploaded video. Some of the comments seem to agree with Glockner that the video shows something massive had flown over the Earth without anyone noticing. Others, however, have pointed out a much simpler explanation.

Since Google Earth takes many photographs from different satellites and “stitches” them together into a seemingly whole image of the planet, it is likely this is an instance where photos did not line up when put together, leaving the impression of a line of clouds.

Earlier this year, Glockner claimed to have found an image of a new hypersonic aircraft believed to be under development by Lockheed Martin. He found the image while searching through Google Earth. It is parked in a lot in Florida and is similar to the shape shown in an artists’ rendition of the new aircraft being designed for the US Air Force.

His discovery came the day after the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works unit announced they had developed the replacement for the Mach 3 SR-71 Blackbird spy plane.

Jack O’Banion is the Vice President of Strategy and Customer Requirements, Advanced Development Programs at Lockheed Martin. He was speaking at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics SciTech Forum when he announced that the new plane has been completed and is designed to fly faster than Mach 5.

Again, commenters were able to offer a simpler solution. Florida residents who watched the video commented that the alleged spy plane had the exact same shape as a racing power boat which are common in the area.

Glockner typically uses the secureteam10 channel to post videos showing evidence of UFOs. His YouTube channel has over one million subscribers. Some sites have estimated that Glockner was making over $300,000 per year from the site before Google changed its policies and reduced the amount of advertising money it shares with him.

In the past, Glockner has admitted to altering his voice and appearing as a “source” in one of his videos. The theories in his videos are routinely debunked by other sites even as Glockner defends his tactics and theories.
