Summer is a great time to visit Perth Western Australia. Not only the days are long and the weather is warm, there also also plenty to do here at this time. During this season, Food festivals seems to be hugely popular in Perth. With so many food Market out there, the Elizabeth Quay Perth Night Noodle Market being one of the crowd favourite. Located at the Elizabeth Quay, new and exciting waterfront precinct on the banks of the Swan River the Noodle Market is an annual event held in March as part of the Eat Drink Perth festival.

The Night Noodle Market is an open-air market filled with Asian hawker-style offerings. With punchy, vibrant flavours, all set in a friendly, communal atmosphere. With over 20 stalls taking part in the festivities this year, we had a hard time trying to pick which ones to try! Not just that, there are also a few pop up bars  and live entertainment

Various traditional and modern Asian fares are on offer at this market. From the street food staple Pad Thai to the exciting flavours of Watermelon Cakes, there is something here for everybody.

The market starts at 5 pm until 9 pm. Prices of food range from $5 to $20 . The Night Noodle market is a cashless market, where purchases are made via card. The best way to get to the market is via train. You can stop at the Perth Train station and walk 15 minutes towards the Swan River. Alternatively, you can also stop at the Esplanade Station which is only 2 minutes away from Elizabeth Quay.  There are plenty of car parks near the Supreme Court Gardens for those who prefers to drive.

We always have a great time attending the Perth Night Noodle Market. Some of the stalls this year are new, which is great as we got to try new things. Unlike street food in Asia, prices for street food here in Australia are a little bit pricey. However, you do get plenty of food to go with it. We particularly loved the Lucky Chan’s Karaage Ramen and the Halo Halo from Blackstarr Pastry. Event organiser could do a little bit better with  the seating and perhaps more undercover areas for people to eat and enjoy their food. That said, can’t wait for next year’s session so we can pig out again!
