The water Hose parable

Our lives are similar to that of a garden water hose. Every hose is hooked up to the spicket from which the water flows. The spicket is continually in the turned on position for life always flows. No person has a lesser amount of water flowing through their hose and no one has a greater amount of water flowing through their hose. We all have an equal amount flowing through us.

The difference in the results we experience in our life and our quest comes not from the volume of water flowing through our hose. The difference is that with a lot of us it is as if there are pin holes, and maybe kinks in the hose. These holes or kinks limit the amount of water reaching the desired place where we intend for the water to flow. By the time the water reaches the purpose we Desire it is weak at best and can not accomplish our wish.

The holes are when we are led away from our purpose by other goals and desires. Our strength is dissipated in meaningless pursuits which leave us empty of fulfillment and true victory.

The kinks or blocks in the hose are our shame and guilt for all the mistakes we have made. We feel unworthy to have any kind of desire flow through us, good or bad. We become pressurized hoses of desire with no where to go which causes more pin holes of miserable pursuits.

So you know what to do. Quit winning, forgive yourself, and get your life back on purpose.

The pure desire in you is the God gift that is to flow through you to fulfillment.
