To be able to play guitar and start learning is a matter of how much drive and patients is within the student. If you hear a curtain guitar playing and wish to one day play that song then that is all you need along with the patients and drive and of course a guitar.

The key to learning guitar and sticking with it long term is to play songs that you genuinely enjoy listening to and won’t get sick of quickly. That’s where your patients kick in. You do have to have patients with guitar and take breaks if you are not getting it. It takes time and most times needs a lot of practice. So picking the right song to play and learn is key to starting out with guitar as students can get bored easily if it is not a song that they are familiar with or a song they do not like as it will be harder for them to memorise all the chords and strumming patterns.
