About the Indian Institute of Technology
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a Public Engineering Institution. The Delhi IIT Established in 1961 at Hauz Khas by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Minister of Scientific Research and Cultural Affairs. The Area of Indian Institute of Technology is around 320 acres. The Institute was later decreed in institutes of National Importance under the Institute of Technology Amendment Act.
