Even Superheroes Make Mistakes is a book featuring superheroes. Superheroes are just like you and me. They make mistakes and they do it often. However, in the beginning of the book, they try to cover up their mistakes. In some cases, they try to come up with an excuse. They move so fast, this is bound to happen. Taking responsibility is not something they want to do.
With some lessons to be learned and some shame to be felt, some superheroes try to do the right thing. Instead of always looking for excuses, they rise above the rest and be the best they can be.
Lessons to Be Learned:
As the end of Even Superheroes Make Mistakes focuses on turning a mistake into a success, the next time your child has a mishap, talk to your child. Ask them questions like
- “What went wrong?”
- “What could you have done differently?”
- “What can you do in the future?”
By getting your child involved, the next time they make a mistake, you are changing the way they think and helping them be a superhero for themselves.
Cons:
To me, it seemed like point of Even Superheroes Make Mistakes was to bring a positive outlook on making mistakes. I found the beginning of the book, the part filled with the negative superheroes, a little to drawn out.

I enjoyed reading Even Superheroes Make Mistakes. I felt that this book is a great conversation starter. sometimes kids need a boost when it comes to self-correcting. This book will help them evaluate themselves and bring them to a brighter future with fewer mistakes and more self-awareness.
