Teaching Equivalent Fractions can be challenging. It becomes tricky as visualizing parts and wholes is abstract for some kids. The difficulty level increases as the numbers keep increasing. With this fun fraction set, your kids will find learning fractions to be really simple.
Best Way to Teach Equivalent Fractions
What are some success stories you had when teaching equivalent fractions?
Education: fractions, equivalent fractions, makes fractions visual, can change according to the kids, allows the kids to have control over their work
Pros: makes math visual, easy for the kids to hold and manipulate, the wood is nice and smooth
Cons: While it is missing some of the larger odd numbers, it seems to the way fraction sets are made. I am not all to fond of this, but it looks like this is the trend.
Bottom Line: I love this fraction set. I cannot tell you how hard it is for some of my students to grasp what a fraction is. Going forward, after bringing this set to the classroom, the kids will grasp it in no time. It is difficult to find visual tools for older kids. This one will be a huge hit. I strongly suggest you pick up a set today. Your kids will love you for it and you will love seeing them thrive academically.
