How to Raise a Wild Child: Book Review

I do not have a Wild Child. I will say this is partly my fault. I was raised mainly indoors and I just repeated the same with my girls. After reading this Book, while I may not have much time left. I have a good idea where to start.

How to Raise a Wild Child: Book Review

Book Summary

How to Raise a Wild Child is a book showing the reader the importance of connecting with nature. This book starts off with an introduction that will help the reader understand a little bit about how important nature is. As you read, you will get some great advice starting from little kids all the way to big kids on how to get started.

I will sadly admit I needed the part for big kids. While I may have missed the boat, there is no time like the present to attempt to get started.

Fun Note

While How to Raise a Wild Child was a great read, I have to say one of my favorite parts is how Sampson often talked about his daughter. This not only made the book personal and engaging, but it showed real life experience as to how to get started.

Most Valuable Lesson

The most valuable lesson I have learned from How to Raise a Wild Child, was setting up a sit spot. Sometimes all you need is some consistency to really observe and make a change.

Cons

Something I was not to fond of, was Sampson’s focus on evolution. I can see how this might be important, but for me, I would have liked more details on the human-nature connection.

My Overall Opinion

I am thrilled to have read How to Raise a Wild Child. Technology keeps on getting in the way of what we need, and often kids spend to much time indoors. I am guilty to adding to this problem. While I am not sure how much change my girls will allow from me, I now know where to get started. However, if you have younger children, do not wait. You must get How to Raise a Wild Child  today before it is to late.

I received How to Raise a Wild Child in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and were in no way influenced by outside sources. This post contains Amazon Affiliate links.

Don’t wait! You must share this page today. We need to help more kids have access to nature.
