In a paper published by “Science Today” journal reveals the significance of NAD+ in protecting cells from DNA damage. NAD+ is a metabolite that plays the role of a regulator in protein-protein interaction during Dna Repair Mechanism. The scientists treated the mice with a booster or precursor molecule, i.e. NMN, for NAD+, which improved the DNA repair mechanism. They aim at starting human trial within six months. If the trial becomes successful, the researchers claim its availability in market within the next 4-5 years. The companies that would endorse the drug are MetroBiotech NSW and MetroBiotech International.
