Titli Is The Devil Cyclone Entering Through Bay Of Bengal To Hit Coastal Regions Of India

Titli Cyclone intensifies in a very violent cyclonic storm, it is expected to reach the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh coast in less than 24 hours.

The meteorological office said the Titli cyclone will likely hit the Gopalpur areas of Odisha and Kalingapatanam in Andhra Pradesh early Thursday at a wind speed of up to 165 km / h. According to Odisha general secretary AP Padhi, the hurricane is expected to land in southern Odisha around 5:30 am on Thursday.

The Joint Warning Center of the US Navy Typhoon also said that the hurricane was consolidating rapidly and signs of a nascent eye were beginning to form.

According to the IMD, Titli cyclone intensified again on Wednesday at 11:30 am in a very violent cyclonic storm that could cause waves up to 1 meter on the coast. Under its impact, heavy rains have already begun in the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Balasore and Kendrapara.

HR Biswas, director of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center, said he is likely to tip to the northeast, go to Gangetic West Bengal in Odisha and gradually weaken, according to the PTI news agency.

The Calcutta Regional Meteorological Department also warned of severe thunderstorms and gusty winds in six districts of southern Bengal over the next four days, triggered by a cyclonic storm, although a brief rain had interrupted the storms. The chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, convened a meeting of high-level leaders in the afternoon to review the preparation for the Titli cyclone.

Sand art sculptor Sudarshan Patnaik installed an art installation in Titli, on Puri Beach, with the words “Do not be afraid, have courage”.

This is the second cyclonic storm that formed in the Bay of Bengal and hit the east coast this year. The first, Day, hit Odisha and north of Andhra Pradesh last month.
