DEVELOP A WHOLE CHILD
A child is not born with manners and knowledge of the world ,it all depends on his learning. It's not an easy job to build a whole child , we put all our forces to complete their education ignoring an aspect of daily life. And this important aspect is inside goodness .Education and goodness come together to build a good ,strong and leading nation. If you are a parent or an educator do you think your duty towards your child is finished at learning of abc? No, your journey is hard and tough you should know what is growing inside of your child a sweet fruit or a bitter fruit that will be tasted by the outer world later.My experience tells me we can embed goodness in early age .A mother or an educator is a great artist to leave a deep influence on young learners by her powerful acting.
Higher education is nothing apart from goodness ,if your child attains a seat ,but doesn't know how to use his power with a balanced attitude, then all is vain . I remember my child was in grade 2 in a well reputed school he told me about his coordinator who was often used to ask her learners Who am I ?And was crazy to listen their answer, "Madam" . She was in power ,but was using her authority in a wrong way. Her attitude was being observed in the little minds of the learners. Similarly, the kids of the coordinator and the principal are given protocol and they are facilitated by the staff on their order. Why? Their injustice act among children generates hatred ,jealousy and envy .And two types of complex are promoted in the school ....superiority and inferiority complexes. I personally got a chance to see with my open eyes, when the kids of the coordinator were coming out from the school gate that is not allowed to use by the other students. Such type of differences give the label of common to the rest of the students. What are we teaching our generation ,is it to make differences among human beings ?
Social learning of a child is completed from a family or peers or teachers or coordinators or principals . Brutal or cruel behaviour is due to environmental factors, rather than being intrinsic . My request is to schools that kindly realize your power and use it with honesty, not only on selecting modern syllabus, but also on character building and on staff behaviour . A lot of assessments, revision tests, dictations, drawings, games, activities, competitions, presentations are all managed by the authority of the school, but no one takes notice, does a child share his things with the fellows? Is he polite with his friends? Does he hurt others well-being? What is in his mind? Who is his hero ,evil or good? A few modern schools do it, but they only observe children and enter the data in the portfolio. Why cannot we plan on it to tell what is good or bad practically through our lesson plans ?
Children come to school with a lot of different thoughts having through social media or fiction stories. Their thoughts can be changed into positive from negative sides in early age through dramatic presentations.
We can prepare our lessons after skipping and adding the content using the text books or curriculum.
Character building could be practised in early age .Being a mother I always advise my kids, “You are in your control ”and do some practical activities for developing their whole personality . Below is a video to develop a whole child, it is a maths activity as well as develops a child's social skills. A child's development is completed at the age of six ,so all responsibility goes on preschools what they are building ? We teachers are not here to produce machines in a form of an engineer or a doctor or a surgeon or a principal in this modern age ,but we are here to develop a whole child .A team work is required in this great job.
I have one more personal experience of my life is my next door neighbour ,they are doctors and engineers ,but the people of their surroundings including me are fed up of their attitudes. It seems apparently that they are not aware of manners ,It was their pre schooling when they were not taught how to share ,how to talk, how to behave ,how to help others..........Now they have become problematic for a society. Development on time with aimful activities is the key of success in this destination. I hope YOU would recharge yourself to start a new journey to change the whole scenario.
