Why We Should Wean Ourselves off Bottled Water

While drinking water regularly is good for us, many individuals do not like that taste of tap water and have taken to spending thousands on Bottled water every year. This habit is expensive and is not good for the environment as millions of plastic water bottles end up in landfills across the globe every year.

Bottled water has become an enormous industry that sells tens of billions of litres of water every year, even in countries where the tap water is deemed of high quality, like in the UK. There are, of course, countries in which the tap water is not really of drinking quality, but even in those countries there are other options.

The problem with bottled water is not only that it is expensive and creates pollution, but also that many of the brands of so-called “spring water” are nothing other than ordinary tap water; vitamin-added water has so little vitamins in it that they make no difference whatsoever, and many of the water bottling companies such as Nestle, are actually robbing locals of their water, bottling it and then reselling it to them at ridiculous prices.

One of the best ways to wean yourself off of bottled water is to invest in a water cooler. You can either purchase a bottled water cooler or a mains or point-of-use (POU) water cooler which is attached directly to your main water line.

If you are situated in the Greater London area, you are in luck because London’s premier water company, Living-Water, offers a range of bottled water Coolers that dispense Living-Water Spring Water that originates from a natural source in the historic Wenlock range.

Living-Water also offers a range of mains water coolers that will save you up to 70% on your annual water costs.

Living-Water water cooler models available include; floor standing water coolers, counter top water coolers, and water coolers with an additional hot water function.
