MAY BANK HOLIDAY AT COTTONOPOLIS – FEAT. DOT 2 DOT FESTIVAL AFTERPARTY WITH PINS, NATIVE YOUTH FASHION TAKEOVER, BLACK MILK COLLABORATION AND GHETTO CHILD ALL-DAYER

Cottonopolis are seeing out May in the only way they know how with a calendar packed full of events, music and fashion. Following the popularity of the Record Day party and sets by Mr Scruff and Sam Redmore, Cottonopolis are sure to throw a Bank Holiday Party like no other – fashion by Native Youth, DJ sets by PINS & all-dayer courtesy of Ghetto Child.

The Bank Holiday weekend kicks off on Thursday 25thwith a two-day Native Youth sample sale. Native Youth are one of Manchester’s most interesting fashion brands. Bridging the gap between high street and affordable luxury, Native Youth specialise in seasonal collections with premium fabrics, signature prints, easy-to-wear staples and classic shapes. Recently crowned the 2016 Drapers ‘Young Fashion Brand of the Year’, the Sample Sale at Cottonopolis will feature one-off pieces, designs from current and previous seasons and the odd experiment piece. Aided by a crew of models, Native Youth will also be showcasing some new lines.

There will also be a very exciting collaboration between Cottonopolis and Black Milk for the two-day event which will be announced on social media on the lead up.

Friday 26th of May coincides with the city’s Dot to Dot Festival and Cottonopolis will play host to the official afterparty with PINS. The Manchester quartet will be swapping their guitars and drums to jump behind the decks alongside the legendary Revolver DJs.

Saturday 27th we welcome back Jamie Bull with his collection of Disco, house and boogie followed by Ifran Rainy through to the early hours with his latin, soul, house and Afrobeat vibes.

Hailing from Manchester, Ghetto Child who are known for their boogie & funk style are at the helm for an all-day takeover on Sunday 28th. Ghetto Child will delve in to their deep bag of excellence where you can expect some seriously hot beats from noon til night featuring jazz-funk to deep house, afrobeat to disco and everything else in-between.
