When in South Korea: Dongdaemun Design Plaza

Seoul is a spectacle at night. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) shines the brightest as it boasts off a fantastic display of LED lights. The creative minds behind this futuristic structure define the bright future ahead.

DDP generally serves as an exhibition hall and multi-purpose convention hall. The futuristic design of the buildings truly speaks of its function. Innovative products such as the newest car models, mobile phones, and other modern gadgets are usually displayed here for exhibition and testing.

Walking through it gives you a feeling of being inside a space station.

The vast walkable park located somewhat at the underground of the building is a must-visit at night. It features the flower garden powered by hundreds of LED lights. It is best to view it from a collective standout and so it is better to view from a higher and farther area.

How to get there:
DDP is accessible by subway. It actually has its own subway station, the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station, served by lines 2, 4, and 5.
