Mountain biking is just the beginning – if you’re looking for a different kind of adventure, you can zipline in Christchurch on the adventure park’s spectacular zipline tour. This ziplining tour takes two and a half hours, featuring New Zealand’s highest zipline at 150 m above the ground - as well as the longest, at 1.1 km! If you’re looking for things to do in Christchurch on a budget, you can enjoy Christchurch Adventure Park for free, or near enough. It costs nothing to take an energetic walk up the hiking trail to the summit. Or you can pay a small fee to ride the chairlift, which happens to be NZ’s longest at 1.8 km. Whichever way you reach the top, you will be greeted by priceless views that take in the Southern Alps, Christchurch and out to the Pacific Ocean.
