Donetsk is a city of over a million people in the east of Ukraine. It’s the heart of Donbass, a metropolis with a developed business and entertainment infrastructure. Donetsk is a major sports center. The most popular sport here, of course, is football.
To the attention of tourists are offered more than 100 museums and Museum rooms, more than 200 monuments of cultural heritage and a large number of parks, squares and boulevards. Lovers of nightclubs, too, can not get bored, clubs in Donetsk can please even the most capricious party-goers.
Donetsk begins its history in 1869, when the Welsh industrialist John Hughes founded the Yuzovka settlement and started the construction of a metallurgical plant.
