On the eve of one of the largest Eurovision Song Contest 2017, which this year will be held in Ukraine, the rush around the daily rent of housing in Kyiv is growing. The service of the daily booking of housing Dobovo.com learned: how much the cost of housing in the capital, how many apartments have already been booked and in what area of Kyiv is more profitable to rent a house for a day.
The closer Eurovision Song Contest – the lower the price for rent
According to analysts Dobovo, the prices for daily rent of apartments in Kyiv have already begun to fall. According to Dmytro Malakhov, the operational director of Dobovo.com, such a course of action is quite predictable: the landlords originally wanted to “sell” their apartments more expensively, but faced reality.
– A month ago the average cost of a daily rent of an apartment in the Pecherskyi district was 4000 UAH, and today the price fell to 2,970 UAH. As for other areas of Kyiv – there is a similar situation: the closer Eurovision Song Contest, the lower the price for housing in the capital, – said Dmytro Malakhov.
How have prices for rental housing changed
For comparison, we give a clear example of rental prices in various districts of Kyiv: on the left are prices that were valid a month ago (in the period from 8 to 14 May), and to the right – prices that are relevant today. As you can see, the difference is palpable.

For comparison: the average cost of a daily rent of an apartment in Kyiv in connection with the Eurovision has changed thus:
April 8-15, the average cost of renting an apartment in Kyiv was 1323 UAH / day;
May 8-15 (Eurovision week) – 2551 UAH / day;
May 16-23 (a week after Eurovision) – 2170 UAH / day.
How many apartments have been booked
On the website Dobovo.com, as of 04/05/2017, 296 apartments have already been booked for the period from May 15th. With each passing day, the number of visitors to the capital at the time of Eurovision-2017 is increasing. In the night from 13 to 14 May (the final of the Eurovision Song Contest), 157 apartments have already been booked in the capital.
