There is SO much going on in Jackson we had to make two posts just to fit it all in! Below are the events for the end of July through October. More are sure to pop up so be sure to check with the Guest Service Agents upon your arrival to ensure you don't miss anything.

 
 
JULY 24
6:00pm. Music on Main: James McMurtry. Boasting one of the best FREE all-ages outdoor summer concert series in the Yellowstone region, this summer’s lineup continues the tradition of bringing highly talented bands and musicians of diverse genres to Teton Valley. At Victor City Park. 
 
8:00pm. Pat Metheny Unity Group and Bruce Hornsby with Sonny Emory. Pat Metheny's versatility is almost nearly without peer on any instrument with compositions ranging from modern jazz to rock to classical. Paired with 13-time Grammy nominee Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative and adventurous careers in contemporary music, is sure to make for a wonderful evening. At the Center for the Arts. 
 
JULY 25 & 26
8:00pm. Images of Europe: Vaughan Williams - Symphony No. 5, Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto, Debussy - From Images:  Ibéria. For the 53rd summer in a row musicians from renowned orchestras will once again journey to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. With Music Director Donald Runnicles, these musicians come together to create a world-class symphony. This summer marks the Festival’s 40th season! Join us this summer! At Walk Festival Hall, Teton Village.
 
JULY 31

AUGUST 1 & 2 
8:00pm. Haydn Seek: Mozart - Overture:  Magic Flute, Mozart - Sinfonia Concertante, Mozart - Symphony No. 30, Haydn - Symphony No. 100. For the 53rd summer in a row musicians from renowned orchestras will once again journey to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. With Music Director Donald Runnicles, these musicians come together to create a world-class symphony. This summer marks the Festival’s 40th season! Join us this summer! AUGUST 4-7
9th Annual Targhee Music Camp. At Grand Targhee Resort. Classes are generally geared toward intermediate players, and some degree of proficiency is expected. Students of all ages are welcome, however, students 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Four days of learning, jamming, and fun preceding the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. Located at the resort, the setting is ideal for getting away from the real world and spending time in the mountains picking and singing.
 
AUGUST 7

AUGUST 8-10
All Day. Jackson Hole Art Fair. Established in 1965, Art Fair Jackson Hole (AFJH) brings diverse forms of art to a community that is rich in western history.  Our summer Art Fairs are family-oriented events that feature up to 170 international, national and local artists, live music, food and snack booths and hands-on art activities.  AFJH attracts enthusiastic members of the public from our immediate community and from across the nation who are interested in supporting the visual arts. At Miller Park. 
 
All Day. 27th Targhee Bluegrass Festival. "The Grand Targhee Bluegrass festival reminds me of Telluride in the early days. Go there now and beat the crowds." - Tim O'Brien The grandfather of Bluegrass Festivals in the northern Rockies. Bands signed on for the Bluegrass Festival include Town Mountain, Jayme Stone's Lomax Project, Tim O'Brien and Darrell Scott, Nickel Creek, Haas Kowert Tice, New Reeltime Travelers, David Bromberg Band, Jeff Austin with Danny Barnes, Eric Thorin and Ross Martin, Leftover Salmon with Bill Payne, Sam Bush Band, Chris Jones and Night Drivers, The Travelin' McCoury's, and Greensky Bluegrass. Don't miss out on 3 days of great music in the most amazing location. Food, beverage and other vendors on site. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! At Grand Targhee Resort. 
 
AUGUST 14

AUGUST 15 & 16 
8:00pm. Magnificent Mahler: Mahler - Rückert Lieder, Mahler - Symphony No. 5. For the 53rd summer in a row musicians from renowned orchestras will once again journey to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. With Music Director Donald Runnicles, these musicians come together to create a world-class symphony. This summer marks the Festival’s 40th season! Join us this summer! AUGUST 17-23 
All Day. Cycle Greater Yellowstone. Cycle Greater Yellowstone is on the list of must-do rides. This is a fully supported tour that’s so well planned, all you have to do is eat, sleep and ride – although we’ll provide plenty more to do in between. Nearly 700 riders with top-notch vendors and service, a ton of amenities, and breathtaking scenery to ride though! Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
 
AUGUST 25 
Free Days in Grand Teton National Park. Free Entrance Days in the National Parks America's Best Idea - the national parks - is even better when it's free! Throughout Grand Teton National Park. 
 
AUGUST 29 - SEPTEMBER 1
All Day. 5th Annual Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival. Teton Valley Trails And Pathways (TVTAP) announces the 4th Annual Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival. The event takes place at multiple locations throughout the Teton Valley of Idaho and Grand Targhee Resort.  
 
SEPTEMBER 3-14
All Day. The Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival is widely recognized as one of the premier cultural events in the Rocky Mountain West. Thousands of art enthusiasts are drawn each year to experience the diverse artwork and breathtaking natural surroundings that make Jackson Hole a leading cultural center. The 2014 Festival will take place September 3-14. Experience the world-class installments of contemporary, culinary, landscape, Native American, wildlife, and Western, arts. Visitors will appreciate the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists along with an exceptional array of art, music, cuisine, and wine. More than fifty events round out our eleven-day festival.

SEPTEMBER 3
11:00am. Western Visions Jewelry & Artisan Luncheon. Enjoy an elegant luncheon at the newly renovated Snow King Grand Room in Jackson. Preview and purchase handmade goods by premiere artisans of jewelry, fiber, leather, and other wearable art during this elegant event. This ladies-only event kicks-off the Jewelry and Artisan portion of the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s Western Visions activities. At Snow King Resort.
 
SEPTEMBER 4
6:00pm. Western Design Conference Opening Preview Party. The festive event will feature the Jewelry Fashion Show and Winners Circle Art Auction. VIP early entry and an opportunity to meet the artisans and enjoy award winning culinary creations signature cocktails during a night of shopping and browsing. At Snow King SEC.
 
SEPTEMBER 5-7
10:00am. Western Design Conference Exhibit Sale. The WDC continues to be the foremost exhibit and celebration of what is happening in the world of western design. More than 115 exhibitors showcase creations in furniture, fashion, jewelry and home decor accessories. Welcome to a show as unique as our surroundings. At Snow King SEC.
 
SEPTEMBER 5
5:00pm. Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk. More than 30 art galleries open their doors to showcase magnificent art with food, wine and music! Various locations.
 
SEPTEMBER 6
3:00pm. Historic Ranch Tours. Visit historic valley ranches, where Jackson Hole's cowboy heritage still thrives.  Start out at the Walton Ranch and then head to the Snake River Ranch. The tour is complete with cowboys, Western entertainment, and a good ol' fashion barbeque. Hosted by Mountain Living magazine. Busses leave Jackson’s Home Ranch Parking Lot.
 
SEPTEMBER 7
10:00am. 15th Annual Takin' It to the Streets. An open-air, juried art fair featuring 40 local artists, including some of Jackson's finest, selling an array of fine artwork.  Presented by the Jackson Hole Art Association. At Town Square.
 
11:00am. Taste of the Tetons. Valley chefs, restaurants and caterers put their best culinary work on display for sampling.  Also enjoy the Howdy Pardners “Pickin’ in the Park” – and live musical entertainment.  Each taste ticket is $1. Town Square.
 
11:00am. Rotary Wine Tasting & Auction. The 2013 Rotary Wine Tasting event consists of a wide variety wines for taste testing; as well as, great auction items to bid on.  There will be a live and silent auction.  This is a great outing for family and friends to enjoy great wines during the 2013 Falls Arts Festival.  We are proud to be associated with the Taste of the Tetons event. Town Square. 
 
3:00pm. Poster Signing with Nancy Dunlop Cawdry at West Lives On. 
Meet artist, Nancy Dunlop Cawdry, and receive a personally signed poster of her featured painting, “Forever Jackson”. At West Lives On.

SEPTEMBER 11
5:30pm. Wild West Artist Party. As part of the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s 27th Annual Western Visions: Miniatures and More Show & Sale, artists and patrons have an opportunity to view the art, place their ballots, and mingle before the big sale. The money raised from this fundraiser support the Education Programming at the Museum. The Jewelry and Artisan Show & Sale, the Original Prints Show & Sale, and the Sketch Show & Sale are open to the public during this event and the artisans are in residence. The evening includes delicious fare, a full bar, and entertainment. National Museum of Wildlife Art.
 
SEPTEMBER 12
5:30pm. Wild 100 Show & Sale. Featuring works by 100 of the country's leading artists. This is the final opportunity to place your bid prior to the drawing that determines who is going home with a beautiful new work of art. This exciting evening features a buffet dinner and beverages, and most importantly, the names of the winning bidders are drawn. National Museum of Wildlife Art. 
 
SEPTEMBER 13
9:00am. 19th Annual Jackson Hole QuickDraw Art Sale and Auction
Nationally, regionally, and locally recognized artists paint and sculpt as spectators look on. The one-of a-kind artwork will be auctioned off following the ninety minute creative process, along with the sale of, “River Outlook: Gros Ventre River Ranch,” by Jason Rich, the featured artwork of the 2013 Fall Arts Festival. SEPTEMBER 14
11:00am. Art Brunch Gallery Walk. Join Jackson’s 30 plus art galleries for brunch and festive beverages at this closing-day celebration of yet another superb Fall Arts Festival!  Brunch, Bloody Marys and spectacular art…what an ending! Various locations.
 
SEPTMEBER 27

OCTOBER 6-12
SH/FT Festival. we’re inviting representatives from the most innovative sustainability initiatives in America in the categories of Nature, Culture and Adventure to share the ways they’re addressing challenges specific to their communities.
Each day of the 2014 Festival will feature guest speakers on that day’s topic, along with presentations on initiatives from peer communities. At night, we’ll use food, music, speakers and film to inspire innovative approaches to the preservation of natural capital.
