Has Globe Gone from Bad to Worse?

I live in the boondocks of Rizal and having an internet connection keeps me sane, connected and employed, a fact that maybe the people in Globe don't realize or don't give a damn at all.  For the past five days, I have suffered probably the most torturous days of my life because Globe could not see the urgency of the matter. My Internet connection went kaput Friday evening and upon reporting, I was told the technical team will come over to my house, Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm, something that I highly doubted because nobody really works on a Sunday.  Let's face it, plus I have a regular badminton schedule that I almost try not to miss.  But the customer service insisted that it's the schedule that the system generated.  It took me a lot of self-control to refrain from shouting at her. Had I not done so, her eardrums would be bleeding.

I was that angry.  So, okay.  Let's see if I am not mistaken, I thought.   Come Sunday, I had to beg my father to wait for the technicians, in case they would arrive, by some miracle or cosmic surprise, but no.  Not a shadow showed up, nor a text was sent or a call made that the technical team would not be coming at all. I was right,,,oh so right.  I wanted to scratch the eyes of the customer service and anyone from Globe if anyone was within arms length at that very moment.  I was so weak from anger and disbelief, even if at the back of my mind I was already dreading that that would happen.

Gathering my senses and energy, I went to the nearest office of PLDT to apply for a PLDT DSL. However, there was a long queue of PLDT DSL applicants that I might not be prioritized after all, what with the distance of Rizal from the Metro.  I had no choice but to turn to my most loyal ally, the Smartbro Usb Internet in my hours of need.  Using the LTE SIM, I was able to do the uncomplicated operations, such as checking emails, reading news, blogging and other not bandwidth-consuming stuff.  I continue to  work while plotting ways to get out of my misery from Globe, even contemplating ....the worst kind of crime.

Today, Globe sent me a text that the network has been restored, which is really uncanny and unusual because normally Globe would call and make a quick service survey, or whatever you call it, to know if the customer was satisfied with their job or service, but Globe deviated from their operating procedure.   Which brought me to the conclusion that Globe's service has really gone from bad to worse.  I really hope that Globe does something before their customers jump over to their arch rival's yard.  Well, if you want to know if  my Internet is back, sadly, no.  I will wait until PLDT processes my application and I will continue to use my Smartbro USB Internet and try not to get stressed until this ordeal is over.  GRRRRR...
