Alright, all my blog guests thought I had disappeared. Worry not friends I'm here and was just fighting a "back to school bug".
My intentions on posting this column is to get feedback and opinions on the Clean Coal Power Plant Project to kick off construction this spring in the western end of Greenbrier County. Anyone familiar with Greenbrier County knows that we are split in two different worlds. Rainelle being the sibling of shame that Lewisburg hates to claim. Rainelle needs "major" attention and I am in hopes that this lovely little town will get the attention it needs from our commissioners and respected politicians once the Eco-Park launches.
What about property value? Yes, residents are thinking big, wanting more money for property and homes in the area. But do they have the right to? Is the homes and land they put on the market going to appraise out because of the current conditions of Rainelle or will the consideration of the future land use be taken seriously?
