Crossing the New River on my way to work I snicker to myself, the Devil on one shoulder seductively whispering "I wonder how many people we can piss off today."
Unbeknownst to me, being a newbie in the business, how sacred jurisdiction is to Realtors and I don't speak of all Realtors.
As a person not accustom to boundaries in life I find this rather silly.
Initially before learning the Real Estate License Laws I had all intentions of working just about the entire upper east coast as I traveled from the Canadian border to Southern WV during Rodeo season which is also the peak season for real estate. Friends in the northern states, especially beautiful Up State New York, supported my whimsical business plans and I had several small commercial business owner clients wrapped around my finger already.
After acquiring my license in the state of West Virginia I pushed rodeo aside and focused on a more local area which includes Greenbrier and her surrounding counties. It is then that I learned about co-broking. After being turned down by offices not willing to co-broke the little devil on my shoulder started to grow along with my excitement and ambitions. I appreciate those who refuse to co-broke for I have found that success comes as easy as helping out a fellow realtor even from another office and even if they will not co-broke.
