Tromsø has its own little mini aquarium, called Polaria. Its main attraction is a bunch of seals, but they also have quite a few fish, shellfish and coral, both from the area and from a little further away. It also has a bunch of movies and other permanent exhibitions. Is it worth a visit? It is, if you have been in the cold for too long and need an hour to kill. Also if you decide to visit Tromsø on Christmas day: this is one of the very few places that’s actually open.
