Moranbah, The Mining Town of Queensland – A Charming Place to Discover

Moranbah is one of the relatively newer towns in Queensland and is a place steeped in warmth. Created by miners and their families, it emanates a charm of its own.

Location

The town is located in the northernmost part of the Isaac Region and is about 200 km from the south-west region of Mackey.

There are several public art projects, dotting the Square such as the musical railway which was commissioned by the Arts Council of Queensland. Visitors can also take in the Australia Remembers Mural, a tribute to all the brave men and women who died serving in the Second World War.
