Where?
The HP Reef is a marine protected area that lies to the south of the Girifushi Island within the North Malé Atoll. To get there you must hire a speedboat and diving equipment. What’s So Special?
Also known as the Rainbow Reef, the HP Reef is famous for its kaleidoscopic collection of coral including soft, blue corals. With its strong currents and dives up to 10 to 40 metres, the HP Reef is best recommended for experienced divers and not beginners.

Rich Fauna
The coral reefs that are incredibly rich in nourishment provide a home for a variety of pelagic and reef fish such as Oriental sweetlips, Napoleon wrasse, angel fish, reef sharks, manta rays, dog tooth tunas, and sea turtles. This amazing marine diversity has resulted in it being declared a Protected Marine Area.
