NIGHT TIME FUN

TURTLE WATCHING and CAMPING
Beach fun in Trinidad is not restricted to day time activities, as there are activities Beach goers can engage in at night. This post is not about late night secret rendezvous ... you know what I'm talking about. Get your mind out of the gutter. I'm talking about turtle watching and camping!

Turtle watching in Trinidad is quite an enjoyable sight. To see these massive pre-historic creatures emerge out of the dark waters, crawl onto the sand to find a good spot to lay their eggs.

This experience should be on your bucket list!

Matura beach is the densest turtle laying beach in the world with so many leather back turtles visiting the beach each year. You are allowed to get up close and personal with the turtles, learn about them and if you're lucky, you might even get to help tag one! The only down side is NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! But needless to say the experience alone is worthwhile.

Camping at the beach is a relatively new activity in Trinidad and Tobago. For a small fee you can rent a tent at Maracas beach and spend the night. This gives you the chance to experience what the beach is like when the sun goes down.

Just the sight of the beach at night might capture you. Just picture it.... the sand, the waves crashing on the shore and the moonlight...its perfection!

Night time beach camping also makes a good liming spot. You and your friends can get together and have a good time reminiscing ole times, telling jokes and even playing a game of all fours and dominio. Believe you me these games can become quite the spectacle.
