Do you know an individual, instructor or company that shines within the Welding industry? Nominate them for the AWS Excellence in Welding Award!

Every year, the American Welding Society (AWS) and WEMCO, an association of welding manufacturers, honors individuals and organizations that are instrumental in raising the image and strengthening the welding industry. Any individuals can nominate their peers or organizations that are dedicated to promoting the image of welding within their communities for this prestigious award.

All submissions are carefully reviewed by the Excellence in Welding Committee. The recipients of the awards are announced during the Excellence in Welding Award Ceremony at the FABTECH Show. All winners of the 2017 awards will receive a WEMCO sponsored trip to the 2017 FABTECH Show in Chicago to receive their award.

The Excellence in Welding Awards are divided into the following nine categories:

1. Individual
2. Educator
3. Educational Facility
4. Small Business
5. Large Business
6. Distributor
7. AWS Section
8. Media
9. Veterans

This year AWS and WEMCO has expanded the criteria for nominations to include social media. For the first time, individuals can nominate their peers and organizations nominated based on their influence and enthusiasm for the welding) industry via social media platforms.
