Everything You Need to Survive Your Next Snow Adventure

Hey friends, and happy Friday! Hope your week turned out super. Mine was largely spent working and obsessing over whether or not to get bangs— what can I say, I live a deep and Profound life.As you can see from these photos, that dilemma culminated in a mad-dash to my stylist for some subtle curtain bangs... so we can add new hair to the week's recap. Other highlights included baking (and non-stop eating) vegan banana bread— did I ever tell you guys I went plant-based?— and watching The Visit, which was messed up and consumed my thoughts for days after the fact. Oh, and if you watch my Stories, you'll know that I bought glitter booties from Forever 21 that have also proved to be quite a highlight this week; again, deep and profound life.

Anyway, it occurred to me recently that although Spring is on the horizon for some of you, many others are still dealing with colder climates, or even have mountain adventures planned (I see all your cute, snow-filled Instagrams), so I thought it would be fun to roundup some of my favourite cold-weather clothes and accessories for today's shopping guide. Bonus— due to the lateness in season, many said pieces are now on sale... you're welcome.

WINTER COATS

Obviously one of the most pivotal items in any Winter wardrobe, a good coat is crucial to staying warm and stylish once the cold sets in. Aside from my trusty teddy coat when temps aren't too baltic, I love Moose Knuckles for quality, Canadian-made outerwear, and if you're looking to invest in a chic parka this season, look no further than their Stellar Canvas Parka... so damn cool.

WINTER BOOTS

Another key element in winter dressing is the boot, which is probably my favourite part. Now clearly I'm not wearing boots in this post, but that's because on this particular day it wasn't snowing or kill-me cold, so hey, gotta get your jollies where you can (aka, exposed ankles). But generally speaking, give me anything plaid, faux-fur trimmed, or even better, tasseled in the boot department, and you've got yourself one happy camper. Agree/disagree?

SWEATERS

The building blocks to any good winter outfit, sweaters are as fun as they are functional. I'm currently all about rainbow stripes and cozy hoodies— especially when layered over a turtleneck— but I definitely have my eye on all things Bella Freud at the moment... does anyone else hear 'Dream Weaver' while looking at this knit?

WINTER ACCESSORIES

Need I elaborate here? Scarves + gloves + beanies = functioning human. My collection of which is ever expanding, but one thing I would really like to add is the Acne beanie (you know the one) because it's just too good not to. Oh, and a classic Moose Canuk scarf, because, warmth.
