Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips

This Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips is the perfect fresh appetizer for summer entertaining. It takes just 25 minutes to make this delicious dish and it’s a great way to use some of the produce you picked up at the farmers market!

Do you have a passion for passion fruit?

Passion Fruit has always been my favorite fruit. When I was little, we had passion fruit vines running along our fence so there was always plenty of fresh fruit to enjoy. Now, it’s a weekly trip to the local farmers market to grab a bag full to get me through the week. I have plans though, thanks to a friend sharing a fabulous idea of growing it in old wine barrels – she has a couple that have taken off.

Although I love it just as it is, I am always looking for ways to add it to my favorite dishes too. It really is perfect to be included in so many recipes like a sauce, topping, in drinks, desserts, and of course my favorite, passion fruit pavlova.

But for now, I want to share with you this easy Fruit Salsa. It is so tasty, with just a little spice, and no sugar needed. Before we get into making it though, let’s start with the Cinnamon Chips because you actually need to get those into the oven to start baking.

How to Make Cinnamon Chips

We have homemade quesadillas, tacos, or burritos every week, which means there are always left over tortillas. Making chips out of them is perfect. Just store them in an airtight container or zipper bag.

You simply need to cut your tortillas into strips about 1.5″ wide and 2-3″ long, spray them with coconut oil spray, and then top them with cinnamon sugar (on both sides). Place them onto an ungreased cookie tray and pop them into the oven on 350ºF for about 10 minutes. Set them aside to cool, and by then you should have your fruit salsa made and ready to enjoy.

How to Make Fruit Salsa

Your cinnamon chips are in the oven, so while they are baking, you can whip up your fruit salsa. Take a look at the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients I used, but you just need to finely chop all, pop into a bowl, and gently combine. Store in the refrigerator in canning jars until you are ready to use them.

It’s really that simple to make and so delicious. Did I mention NO SUGAR?!
