If you need aquafaba for your vegan banana protein muffins you end up with a can of Chickpeas. Of course you can make a great hummus but what if you like to try something else? Enter the Roasted Spicy Chickpeas.

When you make these roasted spicy chickpeas they transform into a crispy and nutty snack.

How to make roasted spicy chickpeas

These roasted spicy chickpeas are so easy to make. You need the following ingredients:

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • Paprika powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Chili powder
  • Oregano

Start by draining the chickpeas and rinse with water. Pad them dry or let them air dry before you put them in a bowl. Add the olive oil to the chickpeas and make sure the chickpeas are covered with oil.

Pre heat the oven to 420℉/200℃ before you spread the chickpeas on a baking tray. Bake the chickpeas for 30-40 minutes and toss the chickpeas every 10 minutes.

Tip: set your oven clock to 10 minutes so you never forget to toss the chickpeas and bake the chickpeas some more.

Combine the spices in a small bowl. Take the chickpeas out of the oven and cover with the spices and cover the chickpeas with spices. Ready to serve.
