But what if I tell you, you can make crispy, crunchy delicious potato chips at a fraction of the amount of calories of normal potato chips? Want to know how you can make these crisp no fat potato chips? Lets get started!

I like to share my favorite recipes and this one is really one of my favorite favorites. If I have a bag of chips in the cupboard and I open it I will not rest until it is empty. I have to keep on eating until there is no crumbs left. Chips put eat on flavor on their chips so you will continue you to eat it. But I came across a simple recipe on the website of T Nation that you can easily make chips yourself.

The first time I tried, my chips got stuck to the plate so I had to make some changes but the next attempts I found the best way how to make no fat potato chips.

For your information 100 grams of potato chips contains 531 calories however a plain potato contains 76 calories for the same amount.

So how do you make these potato chips? Easy. Take a potato. One big potato is enough per person. Clean the outside you do not necessarily have to peel it. Then take a very sharp knife or a mandolin to cut the potato in a very thin slices. Put some cold, cold water in a large bowl and put all of the potatoes in. Potatoes contain a lot of starch which makes potato stick. The cold water helps remove the starch so it will not stick.

Leave the potato in the cold water for a couple of minutes. Then put every slice on kitchen paper and dry the slices. Now put some parchment paper on a plate and line up the slices on the plate. Put the plate in the microwave and leave it in for 6 minutes at 900W. Depending on the power of your microwave you have to increase or reduce the length.

You do not need any oil or cooking spray this is not crisp no fat potato chips for nothing. If you want you can add flavoring like:

  • salt,
  • garlic powder,
  • paprika powder,
  • chili powder

I flavor after the microwave you can also do it before more likely it will stick a little better. Now take a bite and you will be surprised at the crisp, crunch of these potato chips. Best of all you can enjoy guild free potato chips. How cool is that?
